Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA (www.cruzinc.us) has an open position for a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Principal Special Projects (Release to Service) Coordinator. The job location is at Fort Campbell, KY in support of the USASOAC's FMS project officer. Scope: Serve as special projects coordinator for the MH-47ER Release to Service (RTS) process. In this capacity, provide subject matter expertise and managerial support in the ongoing coordination, data mining, document review and general collaboration to support and reduce applicable FMS programmatic risk associated with obtaining the United Kingdom's MH-47ER's Release to Service. Duties span broad and various elements of Air Worthiness Releases (AWRs), MH-47G Standardization Publication, Instructor Pilot/Maintenance Instructor Pilot levels of M-47G comprehension, Fully Mission Qualified (FMQ) levels of operational employment of the airframe, and general comprehension of airframe acquisition and logistics. This position requires the incumbent to be able to exercise a wide range of technical expertise and knowledge to plan, develop, implement, review, analyze, measure, and improve all aspects of the FMS project office's support of the UK Release to Service approval requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as senior advisor to the FMS project offices on all matters affecting the MH-47ER Release to Service
  • Maintain a strong comprehension of MH-47ER airframe acquisition and logistics including requirements determination, systems integration and logistics
  • Evaluate RTS priorities in relation to strategic plans
  • Provide executive-level staffing actions and briefings associated with the RTS process
  • Conduct independent or coordinated studies to identify, evaluate, or recommend solutions to significant RTS challenges.
  • Perform routine clerical, administrative tasks

Education and Experience Required:

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or an Aviation discipline.
  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Level 1 certified (any discipline).
  • 10 years' experience working with the MH-47G .
  • 4 year's experience in the 160th SOAR as an MH-47G Instructor or Maintenance Test Pilot
  • 4 years' experience working in staff-level management.

Education and Experience-Desired:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a technical field.
  • Defense Acquisition University Level 2 certified (any discipline).
