The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Director of Business Development within the University Enterprises and Events division. The UEE division leads the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives. As part of the event management role, the division is responsible for the planning and execution of a wide range of University events from Commencement to concerts and special events on football game weekends. The division is a major contributor of revenue to the University's mission and employs the largest number of staff on campus with over 1,200 full-time, part-time, temporary, and on-callStaff.

Why this position?The Director of Business Development will be responsible for the business development efforts of the University Enterprises and Events division and its consumer facing brand, Experience Notre Dame. This motivated individual should have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and initiatives. He or she will lead the business development team, the planning and development of market segments and implement strategic action plans in order to successfully meet and exceed set financial initiatives. The Director will need to accurately forecast, provide period end reports, negotiate contracts and ultimately maximize revenue. In addition, this person will be responsible for the portfolio of all available event spaces and experiences on campus that are provided by Experience Notre Dame.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 7 or more years of experience
