We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to help bring meaningful contributions to the National Security Space (NSS) Mission Area. As an Operations Coordinator

  • Your primary responsibility will be to support the Program Security Representative (PSR), Special Security Representative (SSR), and Facilities Operations Manager
  • Assure program operations and compliance with applicable government and company regulations
  • Build and maintain a relationship with government security counterparts
  • Assist the personnel security program in the validation of access, eligibility, polygraph requests, nomination interviews, investigative requests, Non-Disclosure Agreements/Non-Disclosure Statements, and other related security actions.
  • Assist facility security administration and management of numerous programs and facilities.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions that enhance the organizational efficiency
  • Be responsible for managing tracking program and facility charge numbers needed to support the facility's logistic and operational environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of National Security Space

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a security-related field. Four-plus years of security related work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Have familiarity with the National Industrial Security Programs Operating Manual (NISPOM) and DoD policy such as 5205.07 SAP manuals.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the operation of facilities within a secured environment including the protection, storage and handling of electronic hardware, physical and electronic information.
  • Have experience working in a secured space / classified environment, including familiarity with the technical and electronic aspects of classified facilities, safes, PCs, Laptops, mobile devices, and other types of equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand Standard Operating Procedures for handling and transporting classified material and information systems.
  • Self-motivated and able to proceed on own initiative with willingness to support a variety of programs/tasking as part of a team or as an individual.
  • Communicate effectively with staff of all levels and with external customers to include liaising with military or government sponsors.
  • Hold an active Top Secret security clearance and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

  • Have a Master's Degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Have a thorough understanding of DoD and government organizational structures.
  • Are proficient with information systems, records management, database applications, access control software, JPAS, SIMS and intrusion detection systems
