About this Position: The role of a Data Architect Team Manager is to lead and manage a team of data architects in designing, developing, and maintaining the organization's data infrastructure and systems. Here are some key responsibilities for the Data Architect Team Manager: 1. Team Leadership: Manage and provide leadership to a team of data architects, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination among team members. Set clear goals, provide guidance and mentorship, and evaluate individual and team performance. 2. Data Architecture: Develop and maintain a robust data architecture strategy and roadmap that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives. This includes designing data models, defining data standards, and ensuring data integrity, security, and quality. 3. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure proper data management throughout the organization. Collaborate with stakeholders to define data standards, data classification, data retention, and data lifecycle management. 4. Data Integration: Oversee the design and implementation of data integration processes, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability between systems. Work closely with application developers and infrastructure teams to ensure effective data integration and transformation. 5. Data Security and Privacy: Ensure the implementation of data security and privacy measures, in compliance with relevant regulations (such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.), to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access or breaches. 6. Data Analytics and Reporting: Collaborate with business analysts and data scientists to define data requirements for analytics and reporting purposes. Oversee the development and maintenance of data analytics platforms, data warehouses, and reporting solutions. 7. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business stakeholders, including executives, managers, and end-users, to understand their data needs and provide strategic recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute data-driven initiatives. 8. Vendor Management: Evaluate and select third-party vendors or solutions for data-related products or services. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure successful delivery. 9. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging data management trends, technologies, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization within the data architecture team. 10. Collaboration and Communication: Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and effective communication within the team and across departments. Qualifications
Who we are seeking: Required Work Experience: * 7+ years of progressive experience in data management leading teams as a data or information architect * 7+ years of experience leading architecture teams in Data Analysis, Information Management, and Business Intelligence * 7+ years of advanced knowledge of designing & working with multi-dimensional, mining transactional data and strategies that drive business. * Hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis.
