GPS Admissions Specialist

General Summary of Position:

The GPS Admissions team is seeking a part-time admissions specialist. This role is vital to supporting the needs of the admissions team through various administrative tasks, customer service, and student support. A strong desire to provide top-tier customer service is a must.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; answering emails and phones, processing paperwork related to student applications, and updating and maintaining student records.

New employees will be trained to gain a working knowledge of our Student Information System (SiS), Application Systems, and our available student services. They will also work with UMASS Lowell faculty, students, and staff and will handle confidential information.

Seeking a candidate that has outstanding phone and email etiquette and the ability to answer questions in a professional and timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):



  • HS diploma or GED/equivalent required, background in customer support
  • Preference for those with previous higher education experience
  • Must be proficient in MS office


Special Instructions to Applicants:

This is an on-campus, part-time, non-benefited, non-unit position - 18 hours per week. The GPS office is open from 8:30 am-8 pm M-Th and 8:30 am-5p Fri.
