Description
Position Summary: Welcome and greet visitors. Provide visitors with an informative and entertaining experience while visiting the estate. Share the history of the company, tour the showcase Farmhouse. Assist in the retail store between tour times. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned) 35% Greet and assist guests in the retail store. Let guests know what is available to them and the location of services. Tour the Farmhouse, promoting MacKenzie-Childs products and sharing the history of the Company and the estate as well as answer any questions guests might have. 50% Assist customers and staff in the retail store during non-tour times. 10% Work to ensure local areas have stock of our company brochures and replenish levels when needed. 5% Book and manage tour reservations for groups of all sizes. Send and receive e-mails setting up and confirming groups visiting and perform miscellaneous job-related duties. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications
Education and Experience: * High school diploma or GED required * Must be outgoing and have excellent interpersonal skills Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Basic computer skills to send and receive email messages. * Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional and helpful manner in person or via phone or written correspondence. * Demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Special Requirements: Location: Aurora, NY * Driver's License for occasional day travel. Equipment Used: Computer, printer, telephone and photocopier Computer Software: Outlook Physical and Mental Requirements: * Ability to stand for extended periods of time, sit, walk, talk, hear, bend, climb, reach, push, pull, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists. * Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. * Light mental and visual attention required for performing work where there is some variety, but actions taken, and decisions made are limited to few possibilities.
