The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary The Center for Career Education (CCE) is an innovative team of career services professionals dedicated to supporting the diverse body of students and alumni in reaching their personal and professional goals. We achieve this by providing access to networking connections, experiential learning opportunities and jobs, comprehensive resources, and customized career counseling. CCE serves undergraduate students and alumni in Columbia College, The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the School of General Studies, and collaborates with the Career Centers in the other schools at Columbia University and its affiliated institutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, working closely with the Experiential Education team to develop internship programs for students from the three schools served by CCE. The incumbent will be required to oversee the implementation of programs and take primary responsibility for educating and informing students about the benefits of the programs. This will include offering information sessions to advertise and publicize opportunities, organizing and facilitating pre-program and other professional development events, and encouraging all student participants to utilize the resources of the Center to find their next opportunity. They will also offer career counseling and practice interviews to all program participants. Responsibilities
