Summary of Position

The Vice President, Practice Operations is the senior leader responsible for the management and administration of day-to-day operations to ensure the delivery of patient-centered, high-quality, cost-effective care across all Teladoc Health's virtual multispecialty care offerings and the execution of strategic plans to drive growth and profitability. The Vice President, Practice Operations serves as a dyad partner to the Vice President, Clinical Network and together are responsible for providing leadership, management oversight and support to operations and clinician leaders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction for the tactical development, implementation, and execution of practice operations across multiple service lines.
  • Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders in the development and delivery of services to ensure alignment with patient needs, client contracts, and operational plans.
  • Responsible for development of long-range budget forecasts and managing areas of responsibility to budget and rolling forecast.
  • Achieve short- and long-term targets related to clinical quality, patient experience, provider/team member experience, access, operational efficiency, and financial performance though metric development, monitoring and continuous process improvement.
  • Models professional values and behaviors that serve as a role model for the organization and embody the mission, vision and values of Teladoc Health and Teladoc Health Medical Group.
  • Develops an organizational climate that is collaborative, promotes positive relationships and effective cross organizational collaboration and partnership with multiple teams and stakeholder groups, including (but not limited to) clinicians, staff, patients, clients, etc.
  • Partners with product, technology, commercial and other key stakeholders to direct growth and performance plans necessary to meet the short term and long-range objectives of the organization.
  • Collaborates with cross organizational partners to develop and execute on value based contracting agreements and client service level agreement (SLA) outcomes
  • Cultivates and maintains positive relationships with internal and external key stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Accountable for regulatory compliance in all areas of responsibility.
  • Develops and mentors leaders within the practice, Clinical Operations and broader organization
  • Supports corporate initiatives and special projects as needed.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • 8+ years progressive leadership experience as an operational leader in a large scale multi-specialty provider organization or multi-specialty medical group practice
  • 8+ years managing multiple service lines in complex ambulatory care delivery or medical group organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and highly engaged leader with sense of urgency in driving outcomes.
  • Proven success in driving execution and results in large scale initiatives requiring real time monitoring, data analysis, impact assessment, remediation efforts, and continuous process improvement to deliver strong performance and results against targets in clinical quality, patient experience, access, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Prior experience in successfully developing and implementing service line growth.
  • Demonstrated success in managing P&L responsibility for very large multispecialty provider organization or integrated delivery system.
  • Strong financial background and ability to create, monitor and refine budgets with experience in both fee-for-service, capitated, and value-based payment agreements.
  • Strong presentation, written and interpersonal communication skills, with experience presenting to executives, board members, and external audiences.
  • History of valuing diversity and inclusion, along with the ability to understand diverse communities being served in care delivery.
  • Experience succeeding in highly matrixed, fast moving, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to changing business needs while managing uncertainty and competing priorities
  • Leadership style modeling positive, future-oriented outlook; proactive, self-directed and intuitive.
  • Experience with telehealth care offerings highly valued

The base salary range for this position is $250,000 - $260,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU's, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: . Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
