As a technical leader and subject matter expert, you will analyze complex problems using patient-level financial and clinical data to support strategic hospital decision-making. This will involve defining and executing a wide variety of analytical projects as you anticipate client needs; establish project scope; identify data sources; translate data into deliverables; and formulate business strategies. This position requires you to maintain a high degree of knowledge in healthcare, finance, and operations, including staying current on evolving industry trends. You will:
- Interface with executive and physician leadership
- Audit multiple systems and data for reasonableness and investigate variances
- Collaborate with professional and technical teams to pinpoint issues, achieve objectives and improve performance
- Benchmark business operations relative to established best practices and internal business objectives
- Apply innovative problem-solving in a dynamic and complex environment
Salary Range: $92,600 - $202,200/annually Note: This posted position is 1 of 2 positions available for hire. All applicants will apply through this requisition and if selected will be hired into one of the available positions.
Qualifications
We're seeking a self-motivated, creative, goal-driven professional with:
- Related
Bachelor's degree, required - MBA or MPH
preferred - Five or more
years of experience in hospital or medical group financial analysis - Advanced
Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Tableau, highly desired - Computer
proficiency with Microsoft Office - Ability to
employ SAS, Visual Basic, SQL, Visio and Publisher a plus - Knowledge of
hospital decision support and EMR systems, EPSi and Epic preferred - Excellent
communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work
autonomously - Ability to
translate clinical needs into financial terms and explain results to a non-financial audience - Understanding
of healthcare coding systems (e.g., ICD-10-CM/PCS, UB-04, HCPCS, MS DRG, CPT, etc.) - Familiarity
with commercial HMO/PPO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal reimbursement mechanisms to hospitals and physicians - Ability to
anticipate and respond to rapid changes and industry shifts - Strong
commitment to high-quality deliverables
