The Position:Site Buyer, Bayport-

The Site Buyer manages on site demands to ensure supply security by negotiating demands (which are not handled by Global or Regional Category Buyers) and by issuing and expediting contracts, outline agreements, and purchase orders. The Site Buyer demonstrates creativity and initiative and weighs risks and opportunities associated with objectives of this role. The Site Buyer works in a straightforward manner and performs tasks required in the job to generate required results. The Site Buyer assures that the procurement processes on site are aligned with Americas Procurement policies and guidelines, driving negotiations with suppliers to deliver greatest total value

What you will do:

• Identifybid requirements for the site based on Delegation of Authority, Spend, and Regional Procurement Strategies, and developing documentation for approaching market players for specific products and services as appropriate to bring best value options to cross-functional team members for selection of best overall value for INEOS Styrolution.
• Accountable for managing an annual spend (estimated in table below).
• Track and report savings and avoidances based on negotiations (level set per year).
• Implementing work processes, procedures, and guidelines as appropriate when passed down through the organization.

What you will bring:

• Bachelors degree in International Business, Business Management, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.Graduate DegreePreferred
• Minimum 5+ years related experiencein negotiation, development and contract management
• Purchasing Accreditation preferred
• 
  

  Experience in thechemical/petrochemical industry

• Planning and Resources Management
• Basic know how in Procurement techniques, methods, processes and strategies
• Basic skills in using tools like SAP, Excel and other databases
• Strategic thinking, planning and analytical skills to understand supply market dynamics, generate purchasing strategies, effectively negotiate agreements, and implement solutions to complex problems
