About this Position:

The Regional Marketing Assistant Manager would be an extension of Zone 1, Zone 5, and Regional Marketing, plus be the main liaison to DAAs, agencies, partners, and dealers within those Zones.

The RMAM will oversee the Honda Digital Solutions program with these two (2) Zones.

The Regional Marketing Assistant Manager will attend DAA and Zone Meetings throughout the year in order to communicate the National Marketing direction, but also assist with regional strategy and provide important feedback regarding solutions that can help Honda achieve its sales goals within the zones.

This position will also manage the Honda Center, a key partnership for the brand, but also support other activities and activations that come up throughout the year.

Responsibilities include:



  • Be an extension of Zone 1 and 5, as the main contact for Tier 2 & Tier 3 marketing needs.


* Participate in DAA strategies. Contribute to solutions aligned with national.

* Lead HDS enrolment participation and ensure success with the dealerships in multiple digital marketing programs. (ex. Dig Ad, DR, Social & Reputation)




  • Attend DAA, Honda Grassroots, and various dealer meetings and events: Including providing business insights and National/Regional creative/media campaign strategies to dealers and agencies. Ensure that all brand investments are leveraged across tiers.
  • Manage event marketing activations and budget, plus engage dealer and DAA participation in the execution of the regional events.
  • Work with DAAs to align their KPIs with Honda National KPIs in order to drive efficient spending and match sales to marketing activities (Qualified Traffic Analysis). Manage analytics from sales to website ratios to understand marketing's relationship to sales.



Specifically, identify what marketing gaps are seen within the core Marketing KPIs:

1. Qualified Web Traffic Ratio to Sales and understand what actions are necessary.

2. Understand Monthly Google Search Trends by model across the purchase funnel.

3. Understand Edmunds & Third Party Site Data for both Honda & competitive brands.

4. Understand Hall & Partners Data on the Brand and its relationship to sales/segments.



  • Consistent reporting back to national on business performance and regional requests, including creative and data.
  • Develop marketing strategies and support business planning that coordinate with DAA and Tier 3 marketing activity.
  • Lead contract, PDCA, budget, and purchase order process on regional projects.
  • Assist with the ad compliance program to ensure that the Honda brand guidelines are consistently aligned at the dealer level.

Qualifications

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

* 10+ years of work experience plus 5 years of experience working for an automobile manufacturer.

* Automotive industry and dealer field sales experience is strongly recommended.

* Experience working with advertising agencies and advertising vendors.

* Experience working with incentives and offers.

* Knowledge of Automotive tier 1, 2, and 3 marketing concepts

* Knowledge of Dealer Advertising Associations and dealership operations

* Knowledge of digital marketing is critical.

* Ability to interface with all levels of management and senior executives.

* Ability to interface with advertising agencies.

* Ability to implement marketing strategies.

* Confident, self-starter and motivated

* Excellent communication, written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills.

* Ability to motivate and influence dealers through communication.

* Effective management of multiple projects, and requests.

Required Education:

* Bachelors in business, Management, Marketing, or related degree

Desired skills:

* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

* Must have proven experience in advertising/digital marketing language.

* Competitive base salary: $91,200 - $136,800
