EMSO Planning and Operations Specialist

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • 5-8 years' of relevant EW/SIGINT/ELINT operational experience
  • Experience with Joint functions at the operational, strategic, or national level; operational level electromagnetic spectrum analytical expertise
  • Exploiting and reporting data from ISR sensors and platforms
  • Data mining and research analysis applications and technology
  • Understanding of national intelligence community reporting databases and standards
  • Completed a commercial, military or Government all source analysis training course or certified in a specialized intelligence career field (i.e. Imagery or Signal Analysis)
  • Clearance: TS/SCI clearance is required


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Knowledge of Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations
  • Technical understanding of EW, (electromagnetic attack (EA), electromagnetic protection (EP), electromagnetic support (ES)).
  • Experience supporting the ACC ISR enterprise.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Support the integration of EMSO through the IW activities into planning as they pertain to support to 16th AF deployed and non-deployed assets
  • Support capability pairing and effects deconfliction and input into Combatant Command Operational Plans as requested by the Combatant Commanders Joint EMSO Cells, service components, and other subordinate units
  • Provide analysis on vulnerability and capability gaps of USAF EW/EMSO systems and make recommendations on system improvement, development, and acquisition
  • Conduct advanced analytics, analysis, modeling and simulation, requirements development, assessments of current operations, weapons systems, force structure, doctrine and resources, and lessons learned
  • Assess adversary actions to prevent or reduce their effective use of the EMS. Develop methodologies for conducting EMSO, electromagnetic warfare (EW) and spectrum management evaluation criteria and risk management
  • Utilize quantitative, technical, or mathematical models to solve EMSO related problems in complex environments, evaluate potential solutions, and recommend solutions to conduct current and future 16AF IW operations
  • Develop and execute written TTPs, training plans, and innovative IW methodologies
  • Provide research, analyze, and then incorporate all identified gaps and shortfalls related to execution of 16AF/A39s EMSO intelligence functions in the TTPs, training plans, and methodologies
