Job Summary A course developer at Rio Salado College is a subject matter expert who is approved by the department faculty chair and works collaboratively with the faculty chair and an assigned instructional designer on a project-basis to author and/or curate content and/or assessments. The developer will meet periodically with the chair and/or designer which often includes a project kickoff meeting and periodic update/review meetings. The developer follows established department policies related to course authoring, producing MCCCD-owned deliverables according to agreed-upon timelines. The developer participates as a final reviewer as part of final quality assurance. Essential Functions 90% - Authors/curates MCCCD-owned educational content and assessments for assigned project/s 10% - Participates in kickoff, updates, and final review meetings Minimum Qualifications Must be pre-approved by the department Faculty Chair to apply for a position to complete course development work under this job posting How to Apply Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a cover letter that details how the applicant meets the minimum and desired qualifications.
