Information about the organization The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is a federally chartered, nonpartisan institution that was created by the US Congress to serve as America's national memorial to the victims of the Holocaust and an educational institution dedicated to the history and lessons of the Holocaust. The Museum seeks to educate Americans from all 50 states and all walks of life as well as international audiences. The Museum has three areas of expertise: Holocaust remembrance, Holocaust scholarship and education, and genocide prevention. Information about the role This position is located in the Office of Finance at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM). Although part of the Office of Finance, the position is embedded within at least two of the Museum's program or administrative offices. The Finance Office is responsible for management and control of the Museum's financial resources and includes budget, accounting, payroll, travel, procurement, investments, financial reporting, and management reporting for both federal(appropriated) and donated/private (non-appropriated) funds. The purpose of this position is to provide expert analysis, advice, and guidance for Museum financial management activities as the primary interface between the assigned Museum offices and the financial and administrative functions.
