Job Summary Join Fresenius Kabi as a Senior Manager, Regional Sales and be responsible for leading and managing a team of sales professionals. This position will provide direction and coaching for all field sales efforts within a specified geography and for ensuring the successful attainment of all regional sales goals as well as managing an operating budget. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, advancing the professional development of field sales employees.

The ideal candidate for this position will live near a major airport in the Midwest.

The Sr. Manager, Regional Sales is responsible for leading and managing a team of sales professionals. This position will provide direction and coaching all field sales efforts within a specified geography and for ensuring the successful attainment of all regional sales goals as well as managing an operating budget. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, advancing the professional development of field sales employees. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for achieving sales quota for Fresenius Kabi's Infusion Delivery product line: IV Solutions, infusion pumps, dedicated and nondedicated IV sets, accessories, safety software and Closed System Transfer Device System.
  • Defines and establishes territory strategic sales direction.
  • Prepares sales forecasts.
  • Plans and implements tactical sales plans.
  • Sets goals and priorities for the sales team members within the region.
  • Works with sales team to develop, manage, advance, and close opportunities within a sales funnel.
  • Conduct field sales visits to strategize, coach, train, and develop employees.
  • Leads and monitors the performance of sales team against their sales target.
  • Analyzes the sales data, identify trends, and take corrective actions as needed to ensure targets meet or exceed goals.
  • Interviews and hires all sales positions.
  • Reviews and approves annual objectives, performance goals, and personal development plans for subordinates.
  • Ensures required training is completed for their direct reports.
  • In collaboration with other team members of the sales organization, the manager will create and/or provide suggestion on efficient territory alignments.
  • Analyzes competitors programs and develops aggressive response strategies.
  • Interfaces with other departments concerning sales data and trends.
  • Monitors and evaluates territory adherence to expense and profitability guidelines.
  • Supports sales team members with contract negotiations, pricing, and contract implementation.
  • Assists in the implementation/management of new accounts along with the willingness and ability to travel outside of own territory when called upon to help manage corporate objectives.
  • Develops strategic customer relationships resulting in revenue growth and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicates with team members to align sales efforts with Company and regional targets.
  • Approaches each customer with a total account management perspective, leveraging resources appropriately, and accurately articulating the value proposition for the customer.
  • Understands and communicates market dynamics and healthcare trends.
  • Works closely with regional team, peer Regional Sales Managers, and the broader organization to develop commercialization strategies.
  • Leads special projects and works effectively with a cross-functional team.
  • Drives improvement measures related to employee retention and engagement activities.
  • Supports onboarding and mentorship of new sales managers.
  • Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.
  • As part of Top Management, you have the overall responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, including the following:
    • taking overall responsibility and accountability for the prevention of work-related injuries and ill health, the protection of the environment, as well as the provision of safe, harmless, and healthy workplaces,
    • ensuring that the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems' policies and related objectives are established and are compatible with the strategic direction of the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required (master's or advanced degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of related experience in the healthcare industry. Medical device sales experience highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing or leading teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent negotiation, communication, business planning and sales strategy development traits are paramount.
  • Demonstrated success in a consultative selling role (questioning, listening, managing call dynamics, managing objections, closing for next steps).
  • Solid influencing skills accompanied with outstanding selling and presentation skills.
  • Executive-level communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other database/ERP concepts (i.e., Salesforce.com).
  • Demonstrated achievement of building strong working relationships with internal departments and external customers.
  • Travel is required to attend meetings/trainings/programs/customer visits (more than 50%) and is based on business need (via public transportation: air/auto); may require overnight travel. Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must maintain all requirements for access to customer sites, including active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements (may include COVID-19 and annual influenza vaccinations), in order to perform the essential functions of the role at customer locations.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs.
