Our prestigious global hedge fund client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Kubernetes Engineer to join their dynamic technology team. This is a long-term contract opportunity (2+ years), offering a unique chance to work at the forefront of technology in the finance sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters with a focus on high availability, resilience, and scalability.

- Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to deploy and manage Kubernetes environments.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security best practices.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kubernetes solutions with existing infrastructure.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to complex problems.

Required Qualifications:

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Kubernetes engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Certified Kubernetes Engineer (CKE) or equivalent certification.

- Proficiency in containerization technologies and orchestration systems.

- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks.

- Solid understanding of network protocols and security best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience in the finance sector or working with high-frequency trading systems.
