Join our mission to help individuals with mental illness, addictions, and other challenges lead healthy and productive lives. Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has openings for social work internships for students who are actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in social work. We are seeking open-minded individuals and ready to learn by doing. Our internships are onsite only and located in offices in Hamilton and Clermont County Ohio and Northern Kentucky. This is an unpaid internship. When you apply for this internship, enter $1 in the desired salary field.

**Important Update: GCBHS has filled all spots for Fall 2024 internships, but we are still accepting applications for Spring 2025 internships.**

Internship Requirements

  • Must be a current student in an accredited social work program
  • Candidate must be local - This is an in-person internship

What You'll Learn:

You'll learn a variety of therapy skills and interventions including diagnostic and assessment skills, individual, group, and family interventions, crisis management, and trauma-informed care.

You'll also learn essential skills to prepare you for your career such as using electronic health records, managing a caseload, working on a team, and exposure to evidence-based interventions.

We specialize in treating adults and youth with Substance Use Disorder and/or Mental Health disorders.

What We're Looking For:

Someone who is tech-savvy has strong communication skills and has an open mind to try new things and think outside the box. Additionally, the ability to ask for help when needed.
