PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. It is part of the Pemex group, a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics, and marketing. As the Tank Coordinator Infrastructure, you will drive the fieldwork for an assigned area during Tank Project execution to ensure activities are executed safely, efficiently, and according to applicable premises, work processes, and standards. You will be expected to interface with management with all PEMEX disciplines and provide direction and leadership to crafts, including contractors. You will work closely with Contractors, Operations, Project, and Discipline Groups to deliver/execute the tank project per the agreed plan, scope, budget, and schedule. The cost management of tank projects, including estimates, forecast, and PO management, will be an essential duty of the Tank Coordinator Infrastructure.

 

To be successful, you should have:        

  • 5+ years oil & gas experience,
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proven supervisory skills in managing crafts
  • Expertise in project management
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability in coordinating field activity execution, preferably maintenance-related activities
  • Sufficient understanding of various technical disciplines
  • Ability to take ownership of project execution per the approved scope of work
  • Thorough understanding of the commercial requirements for contractor work execution
  • Ability to validate the project estimate versus actual work completed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy job that requires a field presence and a directing behavioral style

 

Your responsibilities as the Tank Coordinator Infrastructure will include:

  • Direct field activities for the assigned area during Tank Project execution and is the first line of contact with multiple contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with plant orders, policies, and procedures, including MOC, quality, and work addenda processes
  • Work on the agreed tank project plan/schedule and escalate to the tank maintenance supervisor when it cannot be achieved.
  • Schedule update/report of progress of work activities and for all aspects of quality – material, flange tightness, and completion status. 
  • Validate work completion and material receipt for tank projects
  • Ensure crafts and contractors are highly productive by the removal of barriers.
  • Authorize timesheet and TRACK approval for assigned contractors.  
  • Oversee costs within the approved budget and accurate monthly forecasts
  • Lead daily project meetings and work closely with the Contractor, PEMEX Operations, Projects, and Engineering Discipline Groups to deliver the project.  
  • Participates in Lessons Learned and Look back process.
