Summary:

This position manages, directs, and coordinates activities of the assembly build and completion of production aircraft including, structures, assembly, systems, interiors, and paint departments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Enforces all company policies and guidelines

* Directs and coordinates the activities, schedules, and resources of direct reports for assigned area of responsibility and ensures final quality of product

* Maintain and evaluate current manpower staffing for assigned hours

* Review business metrics for assigned area and be able to report out/ present data to members of leadership

* Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques; maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work

* Interact with all levels of management to communicate current status of assigned aircraft

* Work with direct reports and other departments to quickly diagnose/ resolve any issues that may delay completion of work for an assigned area Manufacturing supervisor develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, shop technicians, materials, parts, tooling, and production equipment capabilities while meeting quality control standards.

* Other duties as required

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

* Two years or above degree preferred

* A&P required

* Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

Minimum Experience:

* Minimum of 5 years of overall experience in the aviation/ aerospace industry

* Minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience in manufacturing environment

Other Job-Specific Skills:

* Strong working experience in Microsoft office and sap

* Working knowledge of teamcenter or equivalent preferred

* Excellent mechanical aptitude

* Strong analytical skills

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings

* Excellent ability to self-learn new areas of manufacturing process

Working Conditions:

Identify the working conditions and physical demands which relate to the essential functions of the position (e.g., physical requirements, work environment, travel, necessary OT, etc.)

1. Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors in both an indoor and outdoor environments.

2. Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.

3. Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.

4. Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 15 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.

5. Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of company provided "reach assistance technology" or "movement assist technology" (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly's, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.

6. work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, etc)
