People * Customers * Trust Co- Op Environmental Engineer This position is for 3 rotating terms with the understanding that you sign up through the co-op program at your university. We have 1 co-op position starting spring 2025. Responsibilities include: The co-op will work with the Environmental Engineering group. Maintain compliance related electronic data. Includes data input and data quality assurance responsibilities. Streamline and upgrade environmental compliance data management practices, as well as assist with the creation of new compliance documentation tools in response to regulatory actions. Document control responsibilities for both electronic and traditional compliance document files. Assistance with compilation of periodic compliance reports to regulatory agencies. Special projects for streamlining production data management tools utilized for technical and environmental company records. Utilize data from various mill data collection systems and software, as well as manual operations records for compliance and comparative trending purposes. Assistance with environmental engineering & special projects, such as landfill construction, wastewater treatment system construction, and residuals management. Assistance with environmental laboratory analytical tasks and sample collection. Basic Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled at Mississippi State University, The University of Mississippi, Auburn University, University of Alabama, University of Maine, University of North Carolina State, Texas A&M University, University of Miami Ohio, Tennessee Technology University, or any University of TN and majoring in Electrical Engineering or a related field and have completed the freshman year.
