Job Summary

The Maintenance and Repair Technician performs diagnostic evaluations and repairs of hand tools, hydraulic tools, battery-powered tools, hoists, and hot sticks. This role assists with other tool repair, mobile testing, and administrative branch duties as necessary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Performinspection and diagnostic evaluation of tools.
• Identifyparts required to repair tools.
• Assistin preparing tool repair estimates for customers and placing orders for repair parts.
• Repairtools and performquality control tests of repaired items.
• Buils custom rope products and ground sets.
• Performhigh voltage testing.
• Enterdata into computer system and maintainrequired documentation.
• May travel or otherwise assist mobile testing technician teams as required, including: loading and unloading material, conveying material per sales tickets, managing inventory, safely operating equipment, performing high-voltage testing, and maintaining appropriate documentation for billing.
• Participatein ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.
• Maintaina positive attitude and practices good interpersonal relations with customers and co-workers

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude required
• Background in repairing hydraulic systems or tools required.
• Background in repairing mechanical, battery, electric, and gas powered tools desired.
• Knowledge of safety practices.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand on your feet most of the day.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision and pay close attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
