A+E Networks is looking for a Specialist, Standards & Practices to work as part of team reviewing content and making recommendations on matters of sensitivities and taste, working with creative teams, implementing policies and guidelines, determining TV ratings, and overseeing operational functions of the department including data management and systems oversight.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Standards & Practices Operations and Data Management

  • Review, track, and update series and episode ratings in PPL scheduling system.

  • Manage all S&P holds in PPL and AirTable system and communicate to stakeholders, including Scheduling and Global Content Sales, of any updates or escalations.

  • Manage S&P information database, S&P reassessment projects databases, and special project information in Google Docs, AirTable, and SharePoint to help streamline communication and organize S&P notes and data.

  • Coordinate episode edits and approvals for the ongoing remediation process with the Postproduction Project Team, resulting in previously "on-hold" episodes to be approved for on-air rotation.

  • Update program inventory lists for Scheduling.

  • Create and edit presentations for senior management.

  • Analyze S&P data to help showcase findings relevant for producers and senior management.

  • Problem solve for any technical issues, such as obtaining screener links for review in Access or any technical excel issues, and train core team on new systems like accessing shared databases or systems.

  • Update partner AirTables with necessary S&P information, such as for Production or Postproduction.

Standards & Practices Programming/Content Review:

  • Digital Media - Review and issue detailed S&P notes on all short form content on digital platforms, various social media, and channel websites which include:

  • New episodes, scripts, scene lifts, episode cutdowns, compilations, re-titles, episode descriptions, gifs, blogs, and other relevant content and material.

  • Short Form Marketing Content -Review and issue detailed S&P notes on allshort form contentgenerated by the marketing group while flagging any legal issues to Legal Risk.

  • Programming Review - Review overflow long-form Network as needed.

  • Interact with production, creative, sales, legal, public relations, corporate executives, listings, third party production company staff, administrative and creative staff, and scheduling staff on any S&P issues.

  • Assist in reviewing and flagging Ad Sales concerns on short-form and long-form content when necessary.

  • Analyze and discuss any S&P issues or current event/social trends with S&P team and Commercial Clearance that may impact programming.

YOUR STORY

Experience:

  • Prefer 3 years of experience working in media. Experience reviewing content for standards and practices for either programming or advertising a plus.

  • Experience working in systems, tracking, and managing data, and learning new systems.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Analytical, negotiating and communication skills required.

  • Experience demonstrating a keen attention for details, excellent organizational skills, and a good sense of judgment.

  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with critical thinking skills.

  • Maturity and the ability to remain objective "a must."

  • Ability to interact with senior level executives and outside counsel over the phone and email.

  • Experience in working in any databases or systems managing data.

  • Experience creating presentations using embedded video and other materials.

  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills are needed and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Candidate must be a team player who is organized, detail-oriented, and who takes initiative.

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred

CompensationHourly Pay Range: $31.22 - $38.29 Annual Incentive Target: 5%
