Sr Cybersecurity Engineer

ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with experience with ForgeRock IAM platform! This position is 100% remote. This is starting out as a contract position running through August 2024 with strong potential to convert to FTE. Essential Functions

  • Leads development and execution of technology architecture work product and published blueprints
  • After Analysis and investigation, coordinates with product vendors and service providers supporting technical security capabilities and processes
  • Leads Continued Analytics of trends, news, and changes in the threat and compliance landscape with respect to organizational risk
  • Guides the development of security controls to decrease risk to the enterprise and its subsidiaries (technical, administrative, or physical)
  • Guides Proof of concepts, Proof of Technology Assessments to mitigate risk before business case and investments are realized
  • High level of escalation (Tier 3)-> Provides security technology incident response and problem management.
  • Troubleshoots software and/or hardware issues/failures on assigned technical security solutions escalated by Tier1-2 engineers. Resolves alerts and performs remediation activities as required until functions are in an operational state.
  • Conducts coordination with other various departments to establish security practices as one of the core functions of information technology
  • Influences the development of operational strategies, processes and procedures related to security capabilities
  • Leads analysis of present data on technical security solutions and processes to leadership and business stakeholders
  • Leads the migration, upgrade and disposal of complex security capabilities and evaluates risks and impacts
  • Liaison with other business areas to deliver on work group initiatives for the enterprise and its subsidiaries
  • Leads developing continuous testing and validation of product performance and gap analysis for continuous security hardening processes
  • Guides remediation actions as a result of threat and vulnerability assessments or audits
  • Provides training to teammates on security capabilities, processes, procedures and operations


Required Work Experience

6+ years related work experience (at least 4 years Cybersecurity / 1 year Infrastructure/Development)

Required Education

Related Bachelors degree or additional related equivalent work experience

Required Licenses and Certifications

CISSP - Cert Information Systems Security Prof (within 180 Days if converted to FTE)

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in information security principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response and identity and access management Knowledge of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls and associated network protocols and concepts.
  • Experience monitoring and maintaining the network infrastructure to ensure its secure and up to date with latest security patches.
  • Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to translate business requirements into technological solutions.
  • Comfortable automating via scripting and other tools to gain efficiencies and reduce opportunities for human error.
  • Remain current on emerging technologies, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Experience designing, integrating, and managing network and security solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of technologies such as IDS, IPS, load balancing and NAT.
  • Experience working in an environment where availability, scalability security, compliance, process, change management and documentation are operating imperatives.
  • Strong technical knowledge of current systems, software, protocols, and standards. including TCP/IP and network administration/protocols
  • Experience developing, documenting, and maintaining security procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems and security applications, as well as a working knowledge of basic network protocols and tools.
  • Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness.
  • Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies with flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance
  • Strong customer focus with ability to manage customer expectations and experience and build long-term relationships.
  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with a broad range of people and roles including vendors and IT-business personnel.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.


Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to Project Management methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, Lean or SAFe methodologies
