Salary Range: Starting at $40,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions

Lecturer will teach 4 sections per semester of a freshman level common course, Academic Introduction and Strategies. This course is designed to help students transition to college and is taught to clusters of students grouped by academic majors. Faculty will teach a blend of courses geared to students in their area of expertise (either business or mathematics) and undeclared students. Summer teaching may be available.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Math, or related field required.
  • Experience in Business, Mathematics or related field.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in Business, Mathematics.
  • Teaching experience at an institution of higher education and demonstrated high levels of teaching performance as indicated by a formal review.

  • Anticipated start date is Fall 2024 depending on availability of finalist.
  • UTSA is a tobacco free campus.

Working Conditions

This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
