Description

Avivo's Chemical and Mental Health Division provides a continuum of integrated services, including access, clinical treatment, care coordination and recovery support. We provide services that are innovative, person centered, strength based, and outcome driven. We strive for the highest quality of services using culturally responsive and evidence-based practices in a trauma-informed environment.

The Chemical Health Assessor will ensure all individuals will receive access to appropriate services and assistance in accessing services, to include assessments. This position will assist individuals in accessing all levels of service. This role will work as part of the Avivo Access team. This position will ensure compliance with 245G. Direct client contact can occur in the community, and various Avivo locations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Ensure high quality, mission-driven services:
  • Provide services to participants on a walk-in basis.
  • Complete assessments, including referral and follow up in the appropriate time frame.
  • Actively participate in the division's Trauma Informed Care Initiative and motivational interviewing.
  • Employ a holistic approach including promoting health and wellness activities with participants.
  • Demonstrate a positive and collaborative team approach by endorsing the same purposes and focuses as the team while encouraging trust and cooperation.
  • Work within the team to ensure that projects, goals, productivity levels, meet established benchmarks and expectations.
  • Provide and promote unconditional positive regard to all participants regardless of race, creed, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and economic status.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.


Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:




  • Associates Degree in Science or Bachelor's Degree in a health services related field.
  • Experience providing intake and/or assessment in a behavioral health setting
  • Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Alcohol and Drug Counselor - Temporary (ADC-T). Must be licensed and in compliance with the appropriate licensure board, i.e., board of Behavioral Health & Therapy. Maintain current license and inform supervisor immediately of any change in licensure status.
  • 2 years or more freedom from substance use problems.
  • Experience with and/or commitment to working in a diverse, continuum of services in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Experience with and/or a demonstrated commitment to developing and delivering culturally responsive services.



PREFERRED




  • Work experience in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Experience with programs serving individuals with dual diagnoses.
