Purpose

The Senior Administrative Associate will provide administrative support to the UT for Me - Powered by Dell Scholars program for Pell-eligible first-time in college students at the University. Includes management of day-to-day operations, oversight of the shared student data management tool, event and meeting support, and responsibility of relevant business transactions within the unit. Maintains the general email account to provide direct and timely communication to ~9000 students and routing to appropriate team member or constituent. Serves as a critical member of the UT for Me team, with an opportunity to enhance processes and efficiency in a fast-paced and creative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage student data collection processes, check-ins, and program email accounts.
  • Develop, implement, and review program operational policies and procedures.
  • Provide reports on student data and space usage to UT programs team.
  • Create administrative tools to track student requests with transparency and efficiency.
  • Serve as liaison with business services office and administrative team member(s) to process travel, payments, vouchers, events, and other business operations.
  • Support special projects as instructed by the Program Director and Deputy Director.
  • Communicate with on- and off-campus partners on behalf of UT for Me programs team.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of clerical and/or administrative experience, including one year of experience at either the Administrative Assistant or the Administrative Associate level; or high school graduation or GED and seven years of clerical or administrative experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong personal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with students and professionals.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience at UT Austin with Smartsheet, UT Market, FRMS, Qualtrics, SEATS, Advisors' Toolkit, and DEFINE. Experience at UT Austin handling purchasing, payments, and travel. Experience scheduling meetings and keeping a calendar. Experience working with college students or high school students in a college readiness capacity, orientation, counseling, advising, retention, student life, residence life, service learning, financial aid counseling, or closely related field.

Salary Range

$50,000 + depending on qualifications
