Client Development Associate, Highland Capital Brokerage

Location: ALL LOCATIONS & REMOTE

Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year + Sales Incentive Compensation.

Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.

Summary:

The position requires an individual to make targeted calls to financial advisors who have an interest in selling life insurance, long term care, disability income, and/or annuities to their clients through Highland. Main duties will consist of making a stated number of calls from planned lists of advisors who have been identified as licensed to do business, as well as to those who have shown interest in sales content promoted from Highland. Ultimately the calls should result in a stated number of appointments with the advisors to meet with Highland's Point of Sale (POS) Vice Presidents (VPs). The individual must possess a passion for customer interaction, be sales minded, and become familiar with concepts that they are recommending.

Responsibilities:

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls daily to lists of prospective and existing advisors tied to POS VPs with goal to result in securing appointments.
  • Cultivate client relationships through outbound calls to identified lists of advisors regarding their interest in products, concepts, and/or insurance carriers Highland represents.
  • Be able to actively engage in conversation, accurately provide relevant information, and clearly document conversation outcomes in the Salesforce customer relationship management system on a timely basis.
  • Be sales-minded and open to connecting via phone with large network of advisors, including using voicemail.
  • Remain goal oriented with a focus on achieving sales success based on pre-determined goals for number of calls and appointments, leading to successful conversions to sales results.
  • Set appointments and identify prospective advisors' financial interests and product education opportunities.
  • Use a professional approach in written and verbal communication when communicating with potential advisors.
  • Generate new business leads via telephone, networking, and other lead sources as directed by leadership.
  • Actively listen to and transfer calls when appropriate to achieve a first call resolution or result in appointment, or to provide additional information on product recommendations.
  • Collaborate and work closely with the Sales Support teams, including Business Development Associates, Sales Support Associations, and Vice Presidents.
  • Display passion and commitment to deliver an experience that improves our customers' perception of our offerings.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn about the insurance industry and insurance products and how they may impact each customer's needs.
  • Participate in educational opportunities for multiple career tracks in life or annuity, sales support or sales.
  • Maintain a commitment to engaging in team discussions, educational webinars, self-study classes, and other professional growth opportunities as presented.
  • Provide continuous excellent customer service to advisor base as needed, operating with both a competitive salary and an incentive-based compensation program.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED certificate + Significant Practical Experience will be considered.
  • Willingness to obtain Life and Health Insurance License

Basic Requirements:

  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changes.
  • Customer service experience or mindset.
  • Effective at time management.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Call center team experience a plus.
  • Prior sales experience is beneficial.
