Job Summary |
With supervision, provides end-user support and assistance while following established standards, protocols and confidentiality, provides documentation of resolutions and assists with website maintenance, datasets, and special projects.
Temporary Employment Services (
TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university.
TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
- Emergencies

Essential Functions |
- Provides quality, professional client and user support related to desktop software, specialized applications and hardware.
- Prepares Windows and Mac devices for deployment to end users
- Provides timely resolution of problem and follow up
- Provides assistance with importing data into datasets
- Works as a team member in support of website maintenance

Minimum Qualifications |
- 8 years of experience with desktop and mobile device support, operating systems, application software, web design and programming + high school diploma OR
- 4 years of experience with desktop and mobile device support, operating systems, application software, web design and programming + Associate's degree OR
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with no experience
Expectations:
- Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate quality customer service skills and possess excellent organizational time management, social, communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member while interacting with end point clients
- Display current knowledge of technologies (computer systems, mobile devices, and technology products)
- Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, balancing, hearing, handling objects with hands, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds
- A commitment to an inclusive and diverse campus environment is required

Desired Qualifications |
- Direct experience in end user support and proficiency in troubleshooting
- Proven customer oriented disposition with quality communication skills across diverse clientele
- Database management
- Experience using Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat, WordPress, and Bootstrap
