Summer 2024 to December 2024 Co-Op Hybrid (Monday to Wednesday in office) North Andover

The Watts Water Technologies family of companies designs and manufactures valves and drains and related products that promote the comfort and safety of people and the quality, conservation and control of water used in commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal applications. Everything we design is made to keep the Earth's most precious resource safer, cleaner, and more useful for our customers.

Watts provides a learning experience for engineering students outside the classroom where they have a chance to see the opportunities that the "real world" of Engineering entails. Our goal would help the student make the transition from an academic to a work environment where they have the opportunity for career development, networking, and exchange ideas between experience professionals.

We are looking for a driven student who is interested in testing, developing, and building next generation valve technologies and/or data analytics. You will be expected to teach yourself new skills and apply them to do your job, but you will receive guidance and mentorship along the way. You will learn how to work in a professional environment and have ample opportunity to network with department leaders and other professionals in the Watts Water Technologies organization.

You Will:
  • Run experiments and test product concepts
  • Support design of new prototypes
  • Process data from prototypes and auxiliary systems
You Have:
  • To be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Strong record of academic achievement (minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA)
  • Familiarity with any of: machine learning, mechanical design, mechatronics, analytics, fluids, electronics
  • The ability to gather and synthesize feedback from different stakeholders
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to be Independent learner
  • Strong interest in learning about Watts Water Technologies
  • The ability to be a self-starter
  • The requirement of being authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Physical Requirements:

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job responsibilities outside the typical office setting.
