This position will be employed through Headway consulting firm working remotely throughout the US.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual for a short-term contractor role as a Document Scanning Specialist. The primary responsibility of this role is to scan a collection of copyright certificates. This is a time-sensitive project that requires careful handling and digitization of historical documents.

Major Responsibilities:



  • Retrieve copyright certificates from folders, handling them with care, especially in the case of older documents.
  • Remove staples from certificates that are stapled, ensuring minimal damage to the pages.
  • Efficiently scan the documents, utilizing the scanning equipment to process up to 50 pages at a time.
  • Maintain organization and accuracy while scanning multiple documents simultaneously.
  • Keep track of the order and arrangement of documents during the scanning process to facilitate their proper restoration to their original state.
  • Restaple the documents after scanning and return them to their respective folders in the same order as retrieved.


Required Qualifications:



  • Attention to detail and ability to handle delicate documents with care.
  • Basic knowledge of scanning equipment and document management.
  • Organizational skills to keep track of document order during scanning.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Prior experience with copyright certificates or archival work is a plus.


Hours:



  • 3 days a week (8 hours each day)


Duration:



  • 4 weeks, with a possibility for an extension if necessary.


Pay Rate:



  • $20/hour
