Central Coast Community Energy (3CE) is looking for a Manager of Energy Programs to oversee and lead the energy programs division under the direction of the Director of Energy Programs. ABOUT US 3CE is a Community Choice Aggregation agency established by local communities to source clean and renewable electricity for 435,000 customers in Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara counties. 3CE’s board of directors represents 34 local city and county governments throughout the Central Coast. 3CE is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through local control of utility scale renewable electricity generation provided at competitive rates and the implementation of innovative energy programs that facilitate the electrification of transportation and built environments. 3CE promotes long-term electric rate stability and energy security while reducing reliance on fossil fuels and stimulating the local economy. 3CE has contracted for 889 MW of long-term renewable resources and 261 MW of battery storage in furtherance of its goal to reach 100% GHG-free energy by 2030. During the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, 3CE provided immediate financial relief to its customers by deferring $22.4M in generation charges. 3CE has allocated more than $12M toward its community energy programs. 3CE is dedicated to serving the unique needs of our diverse community and achieving economic and environmental benefits through the advancement of renewable energy. THE POSITION 3CE is in a unique position to lead in developing energy programs that will positively impact customers in its member jurisdictions and have an impact beyond its borders. The Manager of Energy Programs is responsible for planning, designing and implementing programs that amplify and multiply value. Developing partnerships with key 3CE stakeholders, developing sophisticated data analytics reporting and visualizations to support programs and overall business goals. The Manager of Energy Programs may be assigned to assist in the work of other 3CE teams and perform related work and other analytic tasks for 3CE, as required, as well as attending events and participating in community outreach. TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in public administration, economics, business administration or a related discipline. Experience: A minimum of six years of progressively responsible and relevant work experience in energy or environment, to include at least four years in the solar or storage field specifically, and three years' experience in supervising staff. Experience in administering programs energy, utilities or in a governmental jurisdiction is highly desirable. License or Certificates: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license. Knowledge:

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION 3CE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THIS RECRUITMENT AT ANY TIME BASED ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICANTS. HYBRYID WORK SCHEDULE AS DESIGNATED BY CEO: Current remote workdays are scheduled on Monday's and Thursday's OR Employee may elect to work a 9/80 work schedule with alternating Friday's or Monday's off. RETIREMENT- Employees contribute 10% of their salary on a pre-tax basis towards the PARS retirement system. Employer contributes 10% towards PARS. HEALTH INSURANCE- 3CE pays $1600.00 towards employee and family medical, dental and vision. 3CE contributes up to $2400 annually towards flexible spending benefit and $3600.00 towards HRA. HEALTH & WELLNESS- 3CE contributes $1,000 per fiscal year for health, wellness and EV reimbursement. DEFERRED COMPENSATION- 3CE offers 457 deferred compensations. PTO- Accrued in accordance with tenure. 160 hours cap. CELL PHONE ALLOWANCE- This position is eligible for cell phone allowance of $50.00 monthly.
