Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Radiologist and Director of Radiology, perform quality CT scans and as needed radiography, while applying both radiation and physical safety measures
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in contrast administration, positioning and exposure technique
  • Remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills
  • Use independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking

Qualifications

  • Certification and current registration for Registered Technologist (R.T.) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Graduation from or currently enrolled in an accredited CT training certificate program or school.
  • Must hold or obtain current licensure as RT(R)(CT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist within one year of hire.
  • Must have BLS certification
