Senior Systems Administrator

Do you enjoy building and maintaining server infrastructure that supports complex information systems and large initiatives? If so, this is the position for you! You will be able to showcase your creativity and put your technology skills to use, making a positive impact in the daily lives of our customers. You will innovate, build, and maintain the system infrastructure that runs Dollar Bank. This position is responsible for building and maintaining all aspects of enterprise systems at Dollar Bank, including server infrastructure, enterprise applications, highly available systems, system builds, monitoring and tuning, disaster recovery, and more. You will also have the opportunity to work with many teams such as developers, analysts, and cyber security administrators. This is a hybrid position.

Principal Activities and Duties:

*Assist with managing the bank's virtual server infrastructure.
*Automate IT processes, tasks, and system workloads via scripting.
*Participate in the server build, maintenance, and turndown process.
*Assist with the implementation of emerging technologies and systems.
*Assist management with the design and development of new system functionality.
*Coordinate projects between management and technical teams.
*Prioritize and work IT requests and issues from conception through implementation.
*Provide Level 3 technical support and assist with Level 1 and Level 2.
*Assist and guide Level 1 and Level 2 to perform detailed system design, configuration, implementation, documentation, and support.
*Monitor the operating system environment, troubleshoot, and maintain system integrity.
*Escalate issues to management after appropriate SLA.
*Assist management with the design and development of training materials.
*Refine and create processes/procedures to monitor the health of systems and servers, as well as actively engage in system monitoring.
*Responsible for verification and assurance that the delivered system/application meets department's standards and business unit needs.
*Interact with other team members and business unit personnel.
*Participate in disaster recovery testing.
*Familiarize, gain experience, and comply with change control procedures.

Required Qualifications:

*Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field, or commensurate experience.
*Three (3) years of experience with the following:
*Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems installation and configuration.
*Microsoft Windows Server tools such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and SQL.
*Troubleshooting server and system-related issues.
*Managing hypervisor technologies like VMWare or Nutanix.
*Scripting/automation experience using languages like PowerShell, Python, etc.
*Intermediate knowledge of:
*Cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
*IT management software like Microsoft Configuration Manager, BigFix, etc.
*Network infrastructure including firewalls, TCP/IP, VPN software, malware protection software, and other processes.
*Leadership:
*Excellent communication.
*Ability to maintain information technology strategies by researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.
*Must be self-driven and possess a can-do attitude.
*Governance:
*Ability to enforce policy, procedures and standards.
*Intermediate project management skills
*Expert server lifecycle management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

*AWS Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification or greater.
*Linux Operating Systems installation, configuration, and monitoring
*Understanding of:
*Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts
*Security concepts, in particular PII, PCI, SOX, and GLBA.
*Agile methodologies
*DevOps principals
