Material Handler - Newtown location

Introduction to the job

ASML is looking for a Material Handler to support the materials processing and paperwork for our Newtown, CT location. This material handler will be working an alternate 1st shift schedule from 6am to 2:30pm from Wednesday through Sunday.

Role and responsibilities
  • Clean and package material per specification for safe shipment.

  • Monitor for and report damaged / defective materials (or questionable) to department Supervisor.

  • Participate in area Job Hazard Analysis.

  • Required to make pick up and deliveries within the ASML campus.

  • Data entry and record retention.

  • Maintain the work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and make recommendations.

  • Required to operate company equipment such as hand truck, hoists, trolley's, fork truck

  • Able to lift 50lbs

Education and experience
  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • Looking for experience in Material Handling, Inventory Control, and/or Inventory Management

  • General computer proficiencies including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

  • SAP experience preferred.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.

  • Must be willing to work an alternate 1st shift schedule from 6am to 2:30pm from Wednesday - Sunday and be flexible to convert to a compressed work week schedule - twelve-hour long shift and rotating from three to four days a week.

  • This must include references to day and night shifts for accommodation purposes.

  • Working around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals.

  • The employee is occasionally required to move around the campus.

  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

  • May require travel dependent on company needs.

  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature and noise level.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
