Position Summary Under the direction and in partnership with the Youth Development Supervisor, the Youth Development Worker's overall responsibilities of this position are to plan, prepare, and implement a variety of curriculums, preventive workshops, college preparation workshops, jobs internships internally/externally, and job-related workshops for the afterschool and summer jobs programs. The Youth Development Worker should strive to forge community partnerships with schools, community service organizations and other stakeholders that will be beneficial for the program. This person must have a passion for working with youth and be a strong advocate for youth and the program within Mary's Center and in the community. Reportability This position will report directly to the Youth Development Supervisor. Language Requirements - Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish or English and Amharic as used by participants. Physical Demands - Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work Environment - Typical office and/or participant home providing assessments to families in their home. May be exposed to extreme cold, heat, and humidity due to outside weather conditions. Mostly onsite work schedule with flexibility for some remote work. The Benefits:
