20-Feb-2024 Animal Welfare Scientist 2639BR Regular Full Time Job Function and Responsibilities The Animal Welfare Scientist contributes to the success of the Brookfield Zoo Chicago by advancing its mission and innovations in science and animal welfare by participating in and conducting research projects that aim to systematically investigate the impact of various aspects of zoo animal management and environment on animal welfare. Works to validate indicators of animal welfare; identifies and employs non-invasive techniques for study; coordinates and leads multi-institutional studies. Analyzes and publishes all results and present findings.
