Job Summary

Information Technology Services (ITS) at the MCCCD is looking for a strategic Director of IT for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team. Under the direction of the Associate CIO, the Director will oversee a set of development and support teams that will deliver end-to-end solutions in support of business activities and maintaining existing core business. The Director is responsible for teams who design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools and networks for systems utilized at MCCCD. This role frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers to establish and maintain effective working relationships, as well as establish quality standards and processes. This position provides resource estimates to support development projects and ensure resources stay on target to meet commitments.

Essential Functions

30% - Provides ERP leadership and participates in setting architectural direction as well as operational oversight for managers, teams, and staff including fostering staff development to meet professional, personal and institutional goals

30% - Plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews and evaluates the work of staff; evaluates staff training needs and supports relevant training activities; seeks out professional growth opportunities for team members

20% - Creates and maintains software development processes and establishes standards for software development, testing, and deployment to production; oversees change management protocols for areas such as .NET/C#, Microsoft Dynamic CRM, Business Intelligence/ETL, Google Workspace, and PeopleSoft

10% - Confers with customers, peers and vendors to assess needs and develop solution options

10 % - Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in any field and six (6) years of professional experience in area related to assignment, which includes two years of supervisory experience.

OR

Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in any field and eight (8) years of professional experience in area related to assignment, which includes two years of supervisory experience.

OR

High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of professional experience in area related to assignment, which includes two years of supervisory experience.

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience in developing, managing and implementing software including one or more of the following: .NET/C#, Microsoft Dynamic CRM, Crystal, PeopleSoft/People Tools, Business Intelligence/ETL Tools
B. Experience supervising/managing resources, products and vendor relationships
C. Experience with Google Workspace Administration
D. Experience with Business Intelligence ETL (Export Transform and Load) Products
E. Experience in using Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
F. Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and standards such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) or COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology)
G. Graduate degree in computer science, management information systems or related discipline from an accredited institution OR other graduate degree with extensive computer science or management information systems experience

This position can be on-premise or virtual based on the location of the selected candidate.
