Responsible for seating residents in the dining room. Handles customer service situations as they arise. Key Responsibilities: * Adhere to location appearance guidelines. * Act with a sense of urgency and professionalism. * Ensure that the dining room is properly cleaned and set up prior to and after the service period; keep area clean and neat during service while meeting established sanitation standards. * Promptly and warmly greet and direct guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements. * Help create an overall enjoyable dining experience and promotes a safe, clean and neat environment for guests and other associates. * Exhibit exceptional communications skills. Gets along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience; possess an interest in people. * Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared. * Demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and help evacuate guests to safety in the event of fire or other emergency. * Assist with service, including bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. * Perform post event product inventory and restock as needed. * Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, beverage machines, food merchandisers, production and storage equipment. * Work in other departments to perform job duties during special events. * Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Job Duties: * Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests. * Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. * React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations. * Demonstrate physical stamina required to be mobile for long periods. * Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds. * Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly. Requirements: * 2 years' experience in the service industry. * Willingness to learn and grow. * An outgoing personality is preferred. * Ability to interact with high profile guests and remain professional and dedicated to providing an exceptional experience. * The ability to communicate effectively by writing, speaking and comprehending English * The ability to problem solve and make decisions with little guidance.
