SUMMARY: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for timely and accurately invoicing customers based on available outbound shipment paperwork. This position also posts daily cash receipts and completes end of month procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, as well as other duties as assigned.

  • Customer Invoicing: When shipping Finished Good Inventory, verify information on the shipping papers. Input of data to create invoice. Bill Consignment usages, create packing lists, input of data to generate invoices. Print invoices and disburse as customer request. Process cylinder billings and credit memos weekly.
  • Cash Posting: Post daily cash receipts and follow up on any variances. Make collection and follow up calls on slow paying accounts. Compile customer credit request information for new accounts.
  • End of Month Procedures: Print sales reports. Balance Returns and Allowances and prepare a monthly and quarterly summary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates (AA) Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school and 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not necessary
  • Acceptable prior work history

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and commissions. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
