What part will you play?

The On Site Broadcast and Media Specialist is responsible for all aspects of set up, implementation, preproduction testing, planning and supporting successful execution of Live events at a client location, downtown San Francisco. This role will provide technical support as well as provide direction for integrated and hybrid broadcast, show and studio production operations. This role is responsible to ensure the AV and Studio technologies work together and morph as technology changes inside and outside of client network and in the day and life of scheduled events.

What will you be doing?



  • The Broadcast and Media Video Specialist oversees executive-level and high-profile live events for both internal and external audiences. Setup, Operate and Strike of Client Live Events and Meeting support.
  • This person is the technical advisor for delivery of technological solutions that provides white glove support to meetings and events that require in-house AV team presence and expertise.
  • Maintain and Follow the Scheduling, Coordination, Sourcing and Supervision of external vendors and third-party teams used for successful event planning, media services, and technical production. Technologies that need support are Teams Video conferencing systems, recording and or streaming, Control room systems including - Cisco, Ross, Tricaster, QSC, Seervision, LG, Megapixel, Cyviz,, etc. and associated Video Production equipment, and advanced support for digital signage systems. Experience and competency with manufacturing tools and platforms used for configuration and problem resolution of audio-visual technologies such as Shure, QSC, Ross, etc.
  • Oversee, manage and Initiate troubleshooting, escalation to resolution of complex issues, perform the maintenance of in-house conference room A/V and Studio Production equipment as required for optimal functionality.
  • Perform equipment readiness checks, including powering on equipment for events and verifying room setups. Deliver technical support for front-of-house signage and audio, ranging from basic troubleshooting to advanced assistance.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of rooms covered in contract and building spaces based on usage patterns and projections.



What do we require from you?

Education/Certifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate/Bachelor degree required and/or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office 365.
  • Certification - AVIXIA, CopmTIA Network+, CCNA, or ACE a plus


Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:



  • 8+ years' experience in AV technology industry installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing equipment.
  • Ability to interpret system drawing. Demonstrate knowledge, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of broadcast systems, equipment, facilities, and production systems used in the Media and Entertainment/ Broadcast industry.
  • A clear understanding of project phases Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction and Commissioning.
  • Experience in supporting live AV events with high level personnel.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing projects.
  • Exceptional time management skills with a track record for meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with commercial audio visual, video conferencing, and broadcast equipment and manufacturers.
  • Ability to use a scope to correct audio and video to broadcast standards.
  • Knowledge of SMPTE 2110 standards and PTP synching a plus.
  • A solid understanding of the OSI model as well as packet capture for review and analysis.
  • Experience with audio and video mixing.
  • Understanding of 12G SDI.
  • Familiarity with transcoding and decoding.
  • Experience with Xpression.
  • Understanding of QLAN and Dante Networking.
  • Experience in transcoding and decoding.
  • Understanding of the MADI protocol.
  • Familiarity with NDI signals and the operation of a Tricaster.
  • Knowledge of the Riedel Intercom system, Digital Signage, LED displays, and processing systems is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, independent, self-starter.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
