PURPOSE AND SCOPE
To facilitate timely payment of Arbon service invoices through telephone and written collection techniques, while maintaining positive customer and representative relations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

This position is responsible for the collection of outstanding Arbon service invoices. The incumbent will utilize telephone and written collection techniques.

This position will process web billings to ensure timely payment of relevant electronic billed invoices.

This position is responsible for reconciling billing errors through communication with the customer and the appropriate internal parties.

This position is responsible for the effective resolution of payment disputes, while maintaining positive customer and representative relations. Such resolution will require frequent interaction with other departments, including Accounting.

This position will research credit balances, upon request of the customer. In addition, this position will process all payment adjustment requests.

The incumbent will document and consider dummy invoices in the collections process.

The incumbent will assist with securing and reviewing tax exemption certificates for customers, as requested.

This position will pull together consolidated customer statements, as requested.

This position will process credit card payments, as requested.

This incumbent will provide the district A/R specialists with general process support.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Timely payment of outstanding invoices for assigned accounts, while maintaining positive customer and representative relations.

Effective facilitation of resolution to payment disputes, while maintaining positive customer and representative relations.

Effective communication with internal parties to facilitate reconciliation of billings errors.

Timely and accurate logging of electronic billed invoices (web-billing) for assigned accounts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition this position requires excellent problem solving ability, including excellent communication and organizational skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees or organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The base salary is $19.95 - $29.93.
