About our Senior Data Scientist Role:

As a member of Terakeet's data science team, you'll be responsible for developing and owning critical components employed across our enterprise SEO solutions. The methodologies you apply and novel approaches you develop will help directly shape the future application of data science technologies within our data platform. We're looking for a Sr. Data Scientist who is excited to solve challenges using a wide breadth of modeling and quantitative techniques.

For this role you'll need to have a deep technical understanding of data science concepts across the disciplines of research methods, modeling, and applied statistics as well as machine learning. You'll also require the ability to build prototypes of novel methodologies from scratch. Candidates with significant experience with NLP are preferred.

Essential Functions:



  • Lead research projects to define and create net new algorithms.
  • Create prototypes to expose algorithms to stakeholders for gathering research feedback.
  • Build supervised and unsupervised learning systems to glean insight from our wide variety of data sources.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on implementing and deploying large scale data processing pipelines.
  • Manage cross-discipline projects between product vision, software engineering, data engineering, and data science teams.
  • Design research frameworks to capture and evaluate results.
  • Communicate about algorithms and their business value to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Education, Experience, Skills



  • 5+ years of work or educational experience in data science, machine learning, and statistics.
  • PhD degree or comparable research experience in a quantitative field.
  • Proven track record of delivering on products and/or practical research endeavors.
  • Experience with Python is a required, R is a plus.
  • Experience with Snowflake similar data warehouse systems is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS SageMaker, Lambda, and other AWS tooling is a plus.
  • Experience with spaCy, NLTK, or HuggingFace libraries is a plus.
  • Experience with Tensorflow, Torch, Keras or similar libraries is a plus.
  • Experience with a range of open-source and commercially available LLMs is a plus.


Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $107,000 to $162,000. *This salary range is based off of the market pay for all of the United States; Terakeet applies a multiplier to this range based upon the specific geographic location of a job candidate*
