Overview

Our growing company is seeking to hire a Painter (Powder). As an employee at MEC, you will be responsible using the paint tools to paint surfaces, parts and products for our customers. A painter will use a variety of techniques to ensure all parts are sprayed and coated to our customer specifications.

A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:

    Set up and operate machines that paint or coat products.
  • Paint components according to customer specifications.
  • Loads and moves materials to work area.
  • Performs daily, weekly and preventative maintenance on the powder system, per work instructions.
  • Adjusts and operates the powder equipment to meet production and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoots the powder system and quality problems.
  • Performs inventory transactions, per work instructions.
  • Maintains a clean work area and works as a team member of the paint department.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

What Does It Take to Be a Fit for This Role?

  • Having manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator.
  • Have the ability to stand for 8-9 hours each day.
  • Ability to understand work orders and follow instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow at MEC safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to bend, stand and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
