Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and managing projects ranging from basic to high complexity projects starting at inception through realization with minimal support. This experienced position must be very self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented, and able to communicate with and manage large, diverse interdisciplinary teams. They must also possess great critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as the confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence to lead teams through complex technical and logistical challenges. This person will collaborate with their interdisciplinary product development teammates to create industry-leading products while communicating directly with Executive Management to manage critical decisions and successful product rollout.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
*Leads the product development team in the management and execution of all project deliverables, assignment of project priorities, and closure of project open issues with limited support.
*Communicates and reports to the Manager and Executive Management project status and timeline, project risks, and mitigation plans.
*Develops the execution strategy and project plan for product development projects with limited support from the Manager.
*Serves as the central point of communication for the cross-functional product development team from initial concept to sustainment.
*Manages and maintains the project's scope of work, inclusive of all product deliverables, features and benefits, technical and performance requirements, and cost thresholds.
*Manages the launch of individual Bill of Materials components through the part development lifecycle from Ideation to Production with limited support.
*Escalates resource and priority conflicts to Executive Management and provides triage proposals to resolve issues with limited support from the Manager.
*Maintains the project budget and resource pool with limited support.
*Maintains an advanced level of SIG SAUER NPI process knowledge and mastery.
*Maintains and continuously improves existing NPI processes and procedures, develops new processes and supporting ISO documentation, and trains team members with limited support.
*Must be able to travel infrequently.
*Participates in and sustains 5S Standards.
*Engages in and actively volunteers for Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
*Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
*Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent working experience required.
*Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent working experience preferred.
*4+ Years of project management, engineering, product development, or related experience required.
*Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*PMP Certification preferred.
*Strong leadership skills and confidence in a team environment.
*Great planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
*Strong interpersonal, communication, reporting, and professional skills.
*Great organizational skills.
*Strong computer-based technical competency (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, typing).
*Strong degree of competency using Project Planning tools (ie. Microsoft Project).
*Strong ability to plan, lead, and execute New Product Introduction (NPI), Value Analysis Engineering (VAVE), and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects based on a prescribed scope of work, budget, and/or timeline.
*Strong ability to identify and prioritize project risks and develop and implement effective risk management activities.
*Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and balance conflicting resources and priorities.
*Strong ability to understand technical product development issues and facilitate the development and implementation of action plans with engineers to resolve problems.
*Great ability to forecast project resources and budgets, as well as proactively identify and mitigate constraints.

Working Conditions:
*Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
*Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
