Assembler - 2nd Shift Temp to Hire Duties and Responsibilities: Performs any assembly type functions, using hand tools, mechanical equipment and/or measuring equipment Reads, references and interprets written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures Maintains established production levels and quality standards Visually or through the use of a microscope, inspect various conditions of unassembled/assembled bearings Recognize and report any irregularities as to fits, defective parts, finishes, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship Maintains necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections Handle parts according to established procedures Assist with training of operators and new personnel, as required Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations Keep work area clean and orderly Performs related duties as assigned by leadership Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: Demonstrated work history; experience in assembling components a plus Job Skills: Must gain proficiency in a minimum of one (1) functional area of Assembly such as ball assembly, gaging, retainer assembly, etc. Ability to read and understand complex written and verbal instructions in English Good manual and concentrated visual attention dexterity skills Abilities: Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization Ability to wear clean room uniform including mask; excess jewelry not permitted, limited make up permitted Other Requirements: Note: Physical job requirements may include standing, use of hands to assemble and or carry out job functions as well as sitting, lifting, carrying, bending and stooping during the course of the job. Ability to lift 40 lbs.
