Job Summary

Canteen is seeking a Pantry Retail Product Specialist to provide support to our VP of Product Innovation for pantry brand development projects and retail initiatives and help support our field-based operations teams.

What is pantry? Pantry is a rapidly growing workplace amenity that provides free coffee, snacks, and beverages to employees. Pantry typically focuses on better-for-you, sustainable, and local options and is a high-touch, high-engagement line of business for Canteen.

In this role, you will work closely with members of the marketing & retail teams, along with our operators across the country to support strategic business initiatives, product innovation & vendor management, and diverse supplier development.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with product discovery and supplier relationship management for specific categories
  • Monitor the effectiveness of menu suggestions and engagement provide recommendations for enhancements (Planograms)
  • Be a liaison with corporate purchasing teams
  • Content development of brand sales materials and retention/ materials for pantry operations and clients
  • Manage department presence on corporate intranet, updating and creating documentation used for field operations
  • Identify sector and business trends including competitive intelligence data
  • Support of pantry account needs, on an as-needed basis
  • Other projects & tasks, as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have two plus years of experience in procurement, food services, or CPG industry
  • Must be able to work effectively on an individual basis and as part of a team
  • Time and Project Management skills required
  • Enjoys variety of tasks. Most days are new challenges and new tasks within our team's responsibility and framework.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. This role will write content for internal stakeholders, present findings to C-Suite team members, and communicate with our field operations teams.
  • Be very comfortable utilizing tools like PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint. Bonus points for Canva, Adobe Creative, and other digital communication tools.
  • A love of snacks and food. Our team provides amazing breaks to America's workforce through the services we provide. A love of trying new snacks and new foods is not necessary, but it definitely makes things more fun.
