Responsibilities

  • Conduct a program of treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system in a safe and therapeutically effective manner.
  • Administer and document medication in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Correctly administer Cardiopulmonary Care Services in accordance with Policies and Procedures.
  • Precept employees, new orients, and students.
  • Maintain awareness of environmental conditions and initiates corrective intervention as indicated.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with the medical staff.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent and completion of a respiratory care program approved by the American Medical Association.
  • Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.

  • Idaho Licensed Respiratory Therapist licensure
  • Current BLS certification required.

  • Obtain ACLS and NRP within six months of hire and maintain as current

Preferred Job Requirements

  • PALS certification
