General Description: The QA/QC Inspector plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties. The QA/QC Inspector will represent ACCO and its subcontractors for pipe and equipment installation, welding inspection and oversight of subcontractor installation and quality. The QA/QC Inspector will participate in the General Contractors project quality program documenting installation activities. Supervises: None
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether the product has been vetted by ACCO for future purchases from the vendor.
- Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies, codes and procedures.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of codes and specifications for current industry quality standards.
- The quality team may assign other duties.
Secondary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Prepares and presents technical information and reports to team members and management.
- Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Site QC Supervisor and/or QA/QC Director.

- Seeking at least 5 years of experience in Quality Control with a minimum of 3 years focused on ASME B31 piping codes, industrial and commercial construction, fabrication, welding, non-destructive testing, and/or other similar fields.
- Current certification in accordance with AWS QC-1 as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and /or ICC Mechanical - Commercial certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Regular & routine attendance.
Preferred:
- Experience in Biopharmaceutical Processing Equipment (BPE) and piping systems
- AWS D1.1, D1.6, ASME Section IX, ASME B31 Piping Codes

You are a responsible person with the ability to multi-task. You understand that regular attendance is required, Monday through Friday, weekends and overtime as required by the project schedule with a minimum of 8 hours per day with one hour for lunch. Travel: Based on business needs to and from the primary office to regional branch offices & job sites. Varying work in varying locations. Competitive Wages:
$46.58 to $60.00 per hour.
