POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Quality Assurance Analyst II:



  • Educated and licensed as a RN, LPN or Physician's Assistant;
  • Acts as a Quality Assurance Analyst and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of the Commercial Quality Assurance (QA) Department;
  • Utilizes comprehensive Clinical expertise to validate software requirements via quality assessment and testing.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties:



  • Acts as an Analyst and SME for all clinical aspects of software testing including clinical quality management functionality of the product
  • Technicallysavvy as a Clinician and understanding of Clinical workflow to contribute to testing innovation level software.
  • Practices DSS's process management of Agile/Scrum/Kanban and related tools (Jira)
  • Ensures all aspects of software areworking properly prior to review and release of deliverables
  • Collaborates with internal resources to establish and improve resource knowledge base (Confluence).
  • Acts as a Clinical SME to existing and new staff on the assigned team.


Other Duties:



  • Trains on Quality Assurance Tool Set (qTest, Jira and Confluence)
  • Develops and revises process documents as relates to area of expertise
  • Organizes time effectively while identifying barriers to progress, proposing solutions and setting priorities
  • Limited travel in support of assigned products as required by Management or the needs of the assigned products.



SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Required:



  • Has a healthcare background, as a RN, LPN or Physician's Assistant.
  • Direct patient care experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Has strong analytical skills
  • Efficiently and effectively manages multiple products and projects
  • Possesses an aptitude for understanding a technical process within established guidelines
  • Has computer proficiency.
  • Is detail oriented, prioritizes work according to deadlines
  • Produces quality information that is accurate, requiring little or no re-work
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Works well within a team and as an individual contributor
  • Exhibits effective communication skills, oral and written


Education:

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related Clinical field of expertise


Certification(s), Licenses:

Required: (One or more)



  • Registered Nurse; or, LPN; or
  • Physician Assistant


Experience:

Required:



  • Has in a clinical setting used a software tool designed for a commercial EHRs.
  • Knowledge of medical and technical terminology
  • Basic user knowledge of software applications that support a Clinical workflow
  • 3 plus years clinical experience in a Clinical setting


Desired:



  • Any experience as a Clinical user testing newly installed or upgraded user applications.
