As an Embedded School Based Therapist at Ellie Mental Health, you'll provide mental health counseling services in K-12 students' home and school environments, eliminating the accessibility barrier to mental health care. FT and PT opportunities exist in the Richfield Dual Language School for a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist. The hire date for this position will be August 2024.

Here's what we expect from our clinicians:

  • Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create, and implement a treatment plan, complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes.
  • Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community.
  • Embody our core values of creativity, humor, determination, authenticity acceptance, and compassion.
  • Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
  • Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines.
  • Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed.
  • Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings (For embedded-1 staff meeting a month usually held on the first Friday of every month) & Summer Training Series
  • Complete all 245i training requirements.
  • In some cases, therapists might be assigned to multiple schools.
  • Clinical work will occur primarily at school sites but may also occur in a clinic and in home setting when necessary.
  • Attend school meeting (IEP meetings, Student Intervention team, etc.)
  • Provide consultation to parents and school staff.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday School hours with the option of providing services in the Summer per request of clientele)
  • For Full-Time status clinicians must maintain a caseload of a minimum of 22 client visits per week

What you should be able to bring to the table:

  • Candidates are required to have a master's degree or pursing their masters in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university and on track to obtain licensure in their designated field
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Candidates should have or be pursuing clinical licensure (LMFT, LPCC, LICSW, LP etc.)
  • Experience with completing DAs, treatment plans and clinical case notes
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients.
  • Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner.
  • Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base.
  • Proficient in the use of typical office technology (computers, e-mail, etc.) and Electronic Health Record systems
  • Preferred experience with children, adolescents, teens, and families
  • Ideal candidates will have a general knowledge of therapy services, community resources, insurance billing, and previous experience with mental health documentation.
